Answers

  1. What is a shortlist?
    A shortlist enables event planners to create a personal/custom list of all potential accommodation, venues and services that they are interested in for a specific event. Shortlists can be saved for access at a later stage by saving and sending the shortlist to your email account. Saved shortlists can also be edited and resaved.

    Shortlists can also be shared with other users, however these shortlists cannot be edited by the recipients.

  2. Can I create more than one shortlist?
    Yes you can, however in order to save multiple lists, they must be saved and sent to your email account individually. Multiple lists can then be accessed through the links in your email inbox.

  3. How do you share shortlists?
    To share shortlists with others, click ‘My shortlist’ in the top right hand corner of the screen, and then select the ‘Share shortlist’ function. You will then be presented with a list of different ways to share your shortlist.

  4. What’s the difference between sending & saving and sharing a shortlist?
    Sending & saving will enable you to edit the shortlist, while sharing it only enables the recipient to view the shortlist.

  5. Can you send/share a shortlist to more than one person at a time?
    Yes you can share a shortlist with as many people as you like, however if you use the ‘Share Shortlist by Email’ you will need to submit the form for each recipient.

  6. How many people can you send & save the shortlist to?
    Currently only one email address is allowed for saving shortlist, however if you wish to allow another person to edit your shortlist, you can share the editable link with them.

  7. How do I keep a track of my shortlists?
    You are able to name shortlists and then send & save them via email. It can be shared multiple times although only one recipient may edit the shortlist.

  8. How do I subscribe to updates?
    On the home page, type your email address into the “Subscribe to Updates” box and click 'Submit'. Complete your details via the online form and select whether you would like to subscribe to the quarterly Convention Bureau eNews and/or Brisbane Event Planner monthly updates.

  9. What is the quarterly Convention Bureau eNews?
    The quarterly Convention Bureau eNews contains the latest updates from Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau and is sent quarterly.

  10. What is the Brisbane Event Planner monthly update?
    The Brisbane Event Planner monthly update is a summary of new, updated and notable listings from the Brisbane Event Planner, and is sent around once per month.

  11. Is there a way to enquire to more than one business at a time?
    Yes, in your shortlist you can “enquire to all” businesses shortlisted based on the type of listing e.g., venue with accommodation, service, accommodation or venue.

  12. How do I remove a business from my shortlist?
    To remove a business from a shortlist, click the remove button which is located to the left of the business name on the shortlist. This is only available to the recipient who has access to editing the shortlist.

  13. How can I have my business appear on the Brisbane Event Planner?
    To add your business as a listing to the Brisbane Event Planner, please click ‘how to advertise’ at the bottom of the home page

  14. Why do some listings not have images included?
    Advertisers are able to create a free listing. These free listings contain only basic information such as contact information and a phone number.

  15. How can I contact the businesses within the Brisbane Event Planner?
    To contact a business, fill out a contact form or alternatively enquire via email or by the other contact details contained in their listing.

  16. If I select save changes when editing my existing shortlist, where is it saved to?
    If changes are made to a shortlist, the saved changes will be available to the link provided previously to your email address

  17. Will it send me a new email saying changes were made to the shortlist?
    No new email is sent when changes are made to the shortlist. However, the link will contain the saved changes, as long as the save button has been clicked.

  18. If I share my shortlist, can recipients edit the shortlist?
    No, only the recipient who you have selected ‘save & send shortlist’ may edit the list. All other recipients with whom the shortlist has been shared, may only view the shortlist.
